Treatment of Human Remains

Assurance of appropriate treatment of human remains is an important element of responsible PPW management.  However, currently, there is no single broad international framework developed specifically to regulate the treatment of human remains during PPW management operations.  This working group will review how any existing rules and guidance may become relevant.  Recommendations and proposals will be made to ensure that codified best-practice and fit-for-purpose standards and toolkits are available that address both operational issues and matter such as memorialisation.

Chuuk Regional Action Group

The aim of this working group is to develop a plan for the removal of oil from 1 wreck in Chuuk Lagoon, know as the Demonstrator Project. This will incorporate all necessary engineering, planning and logistics for oil removal.
