Caribbean Regional Action Group

The purpose of this group is to work in close liaison with local and regional stakeholders to begin development of a PPW management strategy that addresses the particular challenges of the Caribbean region.  The first step is to undertake a baseline assessments of the distribution of wrecks and potential volumes of remaining oil.  This will enable more accurate risk assessment and allow creation of a basic framework for prioritisation of action that supports the objectives of the Cartagena Convention and other regional action plans.

Chuuk Regional Action Group

The aim of this working group is to develop a plan for the removal of oil from 1 wreck in Chuuk Lagoon, know as the Demonstrator Project. This will incorporate all necessary engineering, planning and logistics for oil removal.
