Satellite Monitoring and Data

The purpose of this working group is to explore and document the current state-of-the-art for satellite monitoring of oil spills. The group will review the use of new and developing technology that enables earlier detection and accurate monitoring of PPW spills.  It will make recommendations concerning action that can be taken to enhance access to surveillance capabilities and data with a particular focus on how such enhanced access can support regional PPW management strategies.

Chuuk Regional Action Group

The aim of this working group is to develop a plan for the removal of oil from 1 wreck in Chuuk Lagoon, know as the Demonstrator Project. This will incorporate all necessary engineering, planning and logistics for oil removal.
